The McCarter Grespan team congratulates Tom on his recent retirement. Tom represented our Firm for over 20 years and was integral to the growth and success the Firm has achieved. His innovative thinking and community involvement will be traits that members of our Firm will aspire to replicate.

As a mechanical engineer by trade, former president of a Waterloo-based software company, and an active member on various boards, Tom’s experience in both the corporate and legal worlds firmly position him as a highly-skilled, knowledgeable and trusted advisor to his clients.

A proud supporter of Kitchener-Waterloo’s technology sector, Tom is a founding member and director of Communitech, the Waterloo Region technology association, the Chair of the founding committee of the Accelerator Centre on the North Campus of the University of Waterloo, and Vice-Chair, Secretary and director. He dedicates a portion of his time to helping young entrepreneurs start their businesses by providing strategic advice, guidance and ongoing mentorship.
