Jeff enjoys advocating on behalf of his clients, working hard to earn their trust, and guiding their business transactions to the finish line. With keen attention to detail, he prides himself on his ability to concisely communicate complex information, making legal matters accessible and understandable for his clients. Jeff can facilitate any transaction for purchasers and vendors, ensuring that he meets their needs.
As a corporate solicitor, Jeff focuses primarily on business law including share and asset purchases and sales as well as mergers and acquisitions. He thrives on matters where he can advise clients on purchases and sales that they are very passionate about, taking a matter from the initial business negotiations to the closing of the transaction in a timely fashion. He likes the collaborative aspects of this work, helping clients establish mutually beneficial deals that meet or exceed their expectations.
Jeff also works with corporations, business leaders, and individuals, assisting them with incorporation and reorganization through asset or share purchases and sales, taking care to address the intricacies of these deals with regard to the client’s needs.
Jeff’s clients benefit greatly from attentive background work, including the drafting, discussing, and revising of ideas to ensure that he delivers well-researched recommendations that lead to positive outcomes. This high level of service, mentality, and work is where Jeff and the entire team at McCarter Grespan shine. Open communication is important to Jeff and he emphasizes calls, video meetings, and face-to-face interactions wherever possible when working with clients.
Having originally come to the Kitchener-Waterloo region from Alberta on a hockey scholarship to the University of Waterloo, Jeff has returned to this region after attending law school at the University of Alberta. Jeff has established roots in the community and is proud to call the Kitchener-Waterloo region his home.
