Damir Selimovic helps developers, investors, and business owners in Waterloo Region bring their plans to life. As a Partner specializing in commercial real estate, he brings a solutions-oriented approach to every deal — working through complications methodically and keeping things moving when timelines are tight and the stakes are high.
His practice is built on guiding clients through the complexities of commercial real estate transactions, including purchases and sales, financing and refinancing transactions, commercial leasing, and land development projects. Damir also has a particular interest in real estate–related tax considerations, including land transfer tax and harmonized sales tax, and works with clients and their advisors to help structure transactions effectively. He is known for his ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across complex, multi-party transactions and for finding practical paths forward when unexpected issues arise.
Since joining McCarter Grespan in 2016, Damir has drawn on the firm’s depth of experience while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Raised and educated in Waterloo Region, he is proud to support the local businesses who are shaping the community’s future.
